Volvo Penta's new revolutionary propulsion system for boats, Volvo Penta IPS (Inboard Performance System), is an alternative to traditional shaft installations in boats ranging from 35 to 50 feet. Based on pulling, counter-rotating propellers, the system makes boats of the future in this range faster, quieter,  cleaner and as easy to maneuver as a passenger car. In direct comparison to traditional technology:
· acceleration is increased 15%
· top speed is increased 20%
· fuel efficiency is increased 30%
· noise is decreased 50% |
